Welcome to Heather Ridge South, (HRS) a quiet but engaging 1970s developed community surrounded by many 50-year-old trees in a mature but current landscaped setting. The golf course and clubhouse are on 92 acres of open space that flows throughout most the ten HOAs in Heather Ridge. It is overseen by an elected metro district board of directors. The District was formed in 2006 and purchased the foreclosed golf course in 2009 for $3.1 million using bonds repaid in annual property taxes by homeowners until 2039.
Unlike nearby Heather Gardens, HRS and the HRMD are non-age restricted communities hosting growing families, retirees, and many other adults all calling it home. For school-educational needs, all of Heather Ridge is in the award-winning Cherry Creek School system.
Heather Ridge South is extremely well managed by its HOA board of directors along with Westwind Management Group -- who has continuously served HRS since 1989 -- all of which speaks well of both parties! HRS has over $900,000 in cash and Reserves with no deferred maintenance projects or pending special assessments,

HRS has 176 units in three model designs. Although legally defined as a condominium community, its neighborhood design is in a townhome-row arrangement side-by side with no units above other ones. All units have ground level direct-entry 2-car attached garages, but only the 2-story units have basements (the patio units are one-level with no basements).
